HAIKU HANDS -UK / EUROPE TOUR
Australia's favourite collective, Haiku Hands, have shared their new video for latest single Dare You Not To Dance. The “out-of-this-world dance-pop” (Line of Best Fit) Dare You Not To Dance video is released following high-octane singles ‘Jupiter’, ‘Squat’ and ‘Not About You’, which between them have amassed multiple millions of streams and impressed audiences and critics worldwide, launching Haiku Hands onto becoming one of the most hyped prospects in pop and hip hop of last year.
Haiku Hands has just wrapped up their first North American tour that took them on a full U.S. run with CHAI as well as opening slots for Cupcakke in her hometown of Chicago and psych-rock gods Tame Impala prior to their headlining set at Coachella.
Haiku Hands also enjoyed a busy and victorious SXSW. This week they have announced a full European tour with more North American Tour Dates to be announced soon. Following a headline Australian tour, a break out performance at SXSW this March and a run of US dates supporting Japanese punk outfit CHAI, Haiku Hands announce 11 shows across the UK and Europe, touring both headline shows and the festival circuit.
Just six months after first performing in the UK, Haiku Hands bagged a coveted spot on the NME 100, and have been tipped as one of the most exciting new bands in music by the likes of Vogue, Clash, DIY, Dork, BBC Radio 1 and Beats 1. Based across Melbourne and Sydney, the core of Haiku Hands is Claire Nakazawa, Beatrice Lewis and Mie Nakazawa. Together, they curate, perform and work as a collective of artists, engaging and exploring social norms with their lyrical and visual content. Their influences range from hip hop to pop, electronic to dance and everything beyond.
